Conway update 10 is now available!
Hey everyone! February 1st and you know what that means! New Update!
So Update #10: Of Shirts & Fifes is now available to play.
This is our first release with the 2-month schedule, so it is a pretty sizable one, and it's the one that closes out Day 2 of the story. (Technically, there is one scene missing, but it's the smallest evening scene, and for the vast majority of people, it's probably safe to say this is the end of day 2.)
Let's go through the new additions then:
FIRST THINGS FIRST AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ADDITION!
I don't know why I'm shouting, but you can now hide the UI on Android/touch devices with a simple swipe down. Somehow I just never questioned that the method on PC/Mac of pressing "H" obviously wouldn't work on Android. So I went ahead and fixed that.
I mean I would know why anyone would have a need to hide the UI, but ya know, it's there if you need it.
3 New scenes for the evening of day 2. Depending on previous choices, you will be presented with just one, or of course, potentially even all of them, but in any one playthrough you will only be able to pick one between them.
One is the fife lesson with Wolf & Julian, then we have the shirt-fixing scene with Wolf, and last but not least we have a scene with Rajeeyah for our cheetah enjoyer among you. (I'm especially happy with the Raj scene. She, just by her position in the crew, is a bit of a slow burn and difficult to get in front of you all. So it's good that she finally gets another scene pretty much just for herself.)
Additionally, the day 1 dinner scene with Julian & Samuel received a complete overhaul thanks to the efforts of Robert Baird, one of our support writers! They went ahead and continued giving some of these very, very early sections a fresh coat of paint, and I went ahead and implemented the updated graphics right along with it. The overall gist of it is still the same of course, but if you enjoyed that scene then it's worth having another peek.
In the Art Department we have some additions as well.
Namely, one painted scene that includes the characters of 3 of our Maritime Menagerie supporters.
Secondly, Julian has gotten his v2 Upgrade. So there is a whole new Julian to enjoy now that we flicked the RTX switch to ON.
So I don't know, maybe replaying the scene with him from Update 9 might make sen-- Ohhhhh, now I see why people might want to hide the UI.
And that's all for the major additions. Small adjustments have been made as well. Like the character animations of the new animation style no longer breaking when you fast forward, the usual typo/grammar catches, and some new Maritime Menagerie sketches.
